just because eliwood’s story has fairly normal characterization and sounds almost objective, but it’s very blatantly obvious that hector is telling the story in his, because in every changed cutscene, hector is the strongest fighter, a total ladykiller, the most generous, the most kind, and every time he dicks off it was actually part of his grand plan to be clever all along, and all other characters praise how wise and strong and kind hector is after he does an impressive stunt that didn’t exist in eliwood’s story
like I’m just imagining hector chilling out in his throne during the first chapter like “yeah, i walked out my castle to meet my friend eliwood, but there were like fifteen assassins! I killed them all on my way out, and my ostian spy buddy was like oooh hector my sword arm is so weak next to yours”
ahahaha i never did hector mode this sounds amazing
the best one so far is the cutscene where eliwood catches florina and saves her life, in hector’s version, he’s the one who catches her, florina kinda subtly does some swooning in his direction and eliwood goes “haha wow good job hector I’m so weak I’d NEVER be able to catch her like that”
e: also it’s basically an extra mode with a coupla bonus chapters and characters and new map elements which is kinda cool
do you ship hector/florina or hector/lyn
i do hector/lyn just because they have insanely good element synergy and are both OP as fuck lords in completely opposite directions
in my mind, though, i just ship hector/all the bitches/even lucius
